Sir Ulick John de Burgh, 1st Marquess of Clanricarde (1802-1874) was the son of General John Thomas de Burgh, 13th Earl of Clanricarde and Elizabeth Burke. He married Hon. Harriet Canning, daughter of Rt. Hon. George Canning and Joan Scott, Viscountess Canning of Kilbrahan, on 4 April 1825 at Gloucester Lodge, Brompton, London, England.
He succeeded to the title of 14th Earl of Clanricarde on 27 July 1808. He was created 1st Marquess of Clanricarde on 26 November 1825. He was invested as a Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) on 19 October 1831.
